Privacy Policy

The short version

HatchVerse does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information about you or your child. There are no user accounts, no ads, and no advertising or cross-app tracking. Your timer settings and animal collection stay on the device. The app sends only a small number of anonymous usage events (for example, “a timer was started”) to a privacy-focused analytics service so we can see how the app is used overall and make it better. These events contain no personal information and cannot identify you or your child.

Who this is for

HatchVerse is a children’s focus-timer and animal-collecting app published in the Apple App Store Kids Category. This policy explains plainly what the app does and does not do with information.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect any of the following:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information
  • Birthdates, age, gender, or any profile information
  • Photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or location data
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or device identifiers used to track you across apps or websites
  • Any data that could identify you or your child

There is no sign-up and no login. The app never asks a child for any personal information, and there is no advertising of any kind.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how the app is used overall and improve it, HatchVerse sends a small, fixed set of anonymous events to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service (data processed in the EU). We send only these six events, and nothing else:

  • app opened — how many people use the app
  • timer started — whether the core feature is used
  • timer completed — whether timers are finished
  • egg hatched — whether the reward is reached
  • habitat opened — which screens are popular
  • settings opened — whether settings are used

These events carry no personal information — no names, no contact info, no advertising ID, and nothing that can identify or track you or your child across apps. They are aggregate signals only (counts of actions), used solely to improve HatchVerse.

Information stored on the device

So the app can work, a few things are saved locally on the device only. This information never leaves the device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not accessible to us:

  • In-app preferences (sound on/off, vibration on/off, timer adjustment amount)
  • Which animals have been hatched into the collection, and favorites
  • Basic app state needed to show variety (for example, which fun facts have already been shown)

This data is removed if you delete the app, and you can clear the collection at any time from the grown-up Settings area inside the app.

Third parties

HatchVerse contains no advertising and no social media integrations, and we never sell data. The only third-party service is TelemetryDeck, used solely for the anonymous usage analytics described above. No personal information is ever shared with it or anyone else.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may show a local reminder when a timer finishes. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on the device. No information is sent to a server to deliver them, and they contain no personal information. You can turn notifications off at any time in the device Settings.

Children’s privacy

HatchVerse is made for children and is designed to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children’s privacy regulations. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children — so there is no personal information for a parent to review, delete, or restrict. The only data that leaves the device is the anonymous, non-identifying usage events listed above. Settings and any actions that affect the experience sit behind a parental gate (“ask a grown-up”).

Data security & retention

No personal data is transmitted off the device, so there is no personal data to secure or retain on a server. The anonymous usage events are processed by TelemetryDeck under its own privacy terms. On-device data (settings and the collection) persists only until you clear the collection or remove the app.

The HatchVerse website

gethatchverse.com is a static marketing site. It has no accounts, comments, or sign-ups, and does not place advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we later add a feature that handles personal information (such as a contact form), this policy will be updated to describe it before that feature goes live.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
