Privacy Policy

The short version
The HatchVerse app does not collect, sell, or share personal information about you or your child. There are no user accounts, ads, or advertising or cross-app tracking. Timer settings and animal collections stay on the device. The app sends a small number of anonymous usage events to a privacy-focused analytics service so we can understand aggregate use. The HatchVerse website has a parent-and-guardian-only contact form, and it keeps aggregate page-view counts on our own server (page path and referring site host only, no cookies, no advertising use). Both are described below.
Who this is for
HatchVerse is a children’s focus-timer and animal-collecting app published in the Apple App Store Kids Category. This policy explains plainly what the app does and does not do with information.
Information we do not collect
Within the app, we do not collect any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information
- Birthdates, age, gender, or any profile information
- Photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or location data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or device identifiers used to track you across apps or websites
- Any data that could identify you or your child
There is no sign-up and no login. The app never asks a child for any personal information, and there is no advertising of any kind.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how the app is used overall and improve it, HatchVerse sends a small, fixed set of anonymous events to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service (data processed in the EU). We send only these six events, and nothing else:
- app opened — how many people use the app
- timer started — whether the core feature is used
- timer completed — whether timers are finished
- egg hatched — whether the reward is reached
- habitat opened — which screens are popular
- settings opened — whether settings are used
These events carry no personal information — no names, no contact info, no advertising ID, and nothing that can identify or track you or your child across apps. They are aggregate signals only (counts of actions), used solely to improve HatchVerse.
Information stored on the device
So the app can work, a few things are saved locally on the device only. This information never leaves the device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not accessible to us:
- In-app preferences (sound on/off, vibration on/off, timer adjustment amount)
- Which animals have been hatched into the collection, and favorites
- Basic app state needed to show variety (for example, which fun facts have already been shown)
This data is removed if you delete the app, and you can clear the collection at any time from the grown-up Settings area inside the app.
Third parties
HatchVerse contains no advertising and no social media integrations, and we never sell data. The only third-party service the app uses is TelemetryDeck, used solely for the anonymous usage analytics described above. No personal information is ever shared with it or anyone else. Website page-view counts stay on our own server and are not sent to TelemetryDeck or used for advertising.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app may show a local reminder when a timer finishes. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on the device. No information is sent to a server to deliver them, and they contain no personal information. You can turn notifications off at any time in the device Settings.
Children’s privacy
HatchVerse is made for children and is designed to protect their privacy. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children — so there is no personal information for a parent to review, delete, or restrict. The only data the app sends is the anonymous, non-identifying usage events listed above. Settings and any actions that affect the experience sit behind a parental gate (“ask a grown-up”).
Data security & retention
The app transmits no personal data. Anonymous usage events are processed by TelemetryDeck under its own privacy terms. Website page-view counts are aggregate tallies stored on our server, not personal data. On-device data (settings and the collection) persists only until you clear the collection or remove the app.
The HatchVerse website
gethatchverse.com is a marketing site with no accounts, comments, or advertising. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or a tag manager. Its Contact page is for parents and guardians only; it asks visitors not to submit a child’s personal information.
Website page views
To see how often pages are opened, and which websites visitors came from, the site keeps aggregate page-view counts on our own server. A count stores the page path, the referring website’s host (for example, google.com), the UTC date, and a tally. It does not store a search query, an IP address, a device identifier, a browser fingerprint, a cookie, or a name or email address. Google does not send the search words to the site, so these counts cannot show what someone searched. We do not sell the counts or use them for advertising. They are not sent to an outside analytics company. Email privacy@gethatchverse.com if you want us to delete them.
Website contact form
If a parent or guardian uses the Contact page, we collect the name, email address, optional subject, and message they provide. We use this information only to respond to the message. Contact submissions are sent to our business mailbox at contact@gethatchverse.com. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Our website host and email provider process contact-form information only as needed to provide the site and deliver email. We retain messages only as long as needed to respond. A parent or guardian may request access to or deletion of their contact-form information by emailing privacy@gethatchverse.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
